My great Quartzsite, AZ adventure

While my old condo is in escrow and my new house is in escrow I'm out playing in the desert. Here's some pictures I've taken on my adventures in Quartzsite, AZ

I'm not sure what my daughter is shooting, but it looks pretty powerful!!!

BIG DOG!!

The WIN RV club gathers for afternoon circle.

The WIN dance floor and bandstand out in the desert

Cute little trailer named after little Oliver?

WINs gathering for morning Hugs and Mugs, or is it a morning mugging?

The calendar of events for the two week gathering - what important event happend on Jan. 20th and who erased it????

Lots of traffic in Quartzsite. The huge boat moving through town added to the traffic jam.

More traffic coming over the overpass, heading to the Big Tent

Home made ice cream, the old fashioned way

YUM!!!

The desert view from my parking spot

Lots of RVs!!!

More RVs!!

Things are moving pretty fast!!

The seller came in with a counter offer, and then I countered that. And they accepted!! :-) YIPPEE!! The house was built in 1965. One big appeal with the neighborhood this house is in is that the power lines are underground. And the backyard faces south so it gets lots of Arizona winter sun. Murphy is going to love his new sunny, bunny infested, fenced yard. And my Harley is going to love her new motorcycle sized garage. Many houses in Sun City have separate golf cart garages, which work just as well for motorcycles. The house needs lots of new paint, but not much more than that. Well, I'm sure I can find something else to do to make the house "MINE."
Won't my porch rocker look cute on the new porch?

One sad note - the buyers of my condo really wanted most of my furniture. The hardest piece to part with is the black leather recliner I recently purchased. So, I looked and found a similar one on Craig's List. I was hoping the buyers would prefer the new one, but the didn't. OH well.

So far so good

The sale is moving along. The buyer and coming tomorrow for a termite inspection. I've started packing up some of my not really needed stuff. To complicate things, several months ago I agreed to rent out my condo for a month starting this coming Friday. We had agreed to extend the rental a week or two if the renters wanted. Yesterday I had to inform the renters that I've sold the unit and extending for a week or two isn't an option now. I haven't heard back from the renters since. I hope they don't cancel. I already have plans for the rent money.
Yesterday I put in an offer on a house. I was a few days late as an offer and a counter-offer was already in the works. So, I put in an offer on a second house. That offer was quite a bit lower than the asking price so I'm expecting a counter offer. I guess that's better than no counter. This second house has been on my short list for over a year. The house has been on the market for over a year and a half. Hopefully my realtor can work some magic and convince the sellers that they are asking way too much.
Stay tuned!!

SOLD!!!

Again. Maybe. I accepted an offer this afternoon on my condo. :-) Hopefully this one won't end up like the two last summer when I had two offers and two cancellations in three days. keep you fingers crossed for me. Today my condo is the 4th lowest priced 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo in Sun City, AZ. For a week it was the LOWEST priced one. It's a weird market these days. Soon I may be looking to buy one of the lowest priced houses in Sun City. Stayed tuned!!

New Years Eve with the Grandkids

My Mom and I left Sun City West and Sun City, AZ respectively and headed to Calipatria, CA to visit my daughter and grandkids. They sure enjoy living out in the country with lots of room to ride their ATVs. And there's not even one other house within view in any direction from their yard.
