Why I Counter Demonstrate

Minutemen back Phoenix store's rebuff of illegals
By Jerry Seper
November 27, 2007
More than 100 minutemen showed up en masse in Phoenix to counter protest a pro-immigration group that sought to shut down a local furniture store for hiring off-duty deputies to keep illegal-alien day laborers off its property — and they have pledged to come back every weekend.
The Patriots' Border Alliance (PBA), backed by members of United for a Sovereign America (USA), set up camp outside M.D. Pruitt's furniture store Saturday and forced the cancellation of the pro-immigration demonstrations, which alliance leaders described as "economic terrorism."
"The local support was overwhelming, plenty of honks and thumbs up," said PBA Board Vice Chairman Stacey O'Connell. "There were plenty of local citizens who came out to ask how they could join the Patriots' Border Alliance. We were happy to help them out."

Below is a picture of the type of people who are demonstrating EVERY SATURDAY at Pruitt's Furniture Store in Phoenix, AZ. These people worship Che Guevara - (http://www.kirjasto.sci.fi/guevar.htm ) and are attempting to take over the United States of America and turn her into something resembling crime ridden Mexico and Communist ridden Cuba and Venezuela. In the mean time they are trying to shut down Pruitt's because the store is opposed to Illegal Alien Day Laborers loittering, trashing, and urinating in their parking lot.

I must be crazy!!!

Yes, that's my little condo with the "For Sale" sign in the front yard - the condo I bought just a year ago and spent lots of money, time and energy fixing up. Well, now I think I need a bit more yard and a garage. So I've listed the condo and I'm about ready to put in a contingency offer on a cute little house, which of course needs lots of sprucing up.

Veteran's Day Parade

On Monday November 12th I joined the American Freedom Riders (http://www.americanfreedomriders.com/) on the Parade Route in the Mesa, AZ Veteran's Day Parade.

Russel Pearce, one of Arizona's great state legislatures, who is now contemplating running to represent Arizonans in Washington, was going to join us in the parade driving his Model T. Unfortuntely the Model T sprung a major leak so we found him a ride on the flat bed trailer in front of us.

Veteran's Day Ride

Sunday I joined 35 of the Phoenix Motorcycle Riders Group (http://motorcycle.meetup.com/59/) riders for a 170 mile ride around and through the Phoenix area. We rode through Tonto National Forest.

OK, so Tonto National Forest doesn't have the traditional National Forest trees, but hey, this is Arizona!! We love our Saguaro Cactus "Trees."

We stopped at Bartlett Lake to stretch and chat.

Interesting Bumber sticker. OK, so it's not on a bumper. It's on a motorcycle. Motorcycles don't have a bumpers!!

Part of the Group

We continued on to the Greasewood Flats eating establishment, in Scottsdale, for some of their "Hearty Burgers."

Up on the Roof

My TV antenna was laying on it's side and not receiving local TV channels. So, up on the roof I went to straighten it up and replace some rotting cable. Well, it still doesn't work. I get audio, but the picture is very snowy. It used to work. Maybe when it fell over something became damaged. I'll venture up on the roof again someday and see what else I can tinker with. In the meantime I'll just enjoy my Directv channels.
