Day Two on the MS Oosterdam

Day One we cruised all night and at 8:00 AM we anchored in Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. We were tendered from the ship to the shore where we were treated to a beautiful private beach, warm Caribbean waters and a tasty BBQ lunch.

Goofy smile.

That's a little better

At 4:00 PM we heaved up our anchor and depart Half Moon Cay and set a South Easterly course for the Crooked Island Passage.

We opted for Open Seating Dining, which was on Deck 2 and started seating at 5:15. We were often the first in line and always got a table by a window. And sometimes the four of us, me, mom, sister Sue and brother-in-law Phil were seated at a table for 6 and enjoyed the company and opportunity to meet other guests.

Day 2 evening was a "Formal Dress" dinner. Here's one of my bargain outfits from Shar's in Sun City, AZ

Me and Mom ready for dinner.

Shrimp cocktail appetizer.

No (real) sugar added cheese cake. Sometimes I got so excited about my meal I forgot to take a picture. I don't remember what my main course was.

This beautiful Globe could be seen from the 1-3 decks, surrounded by a spiral staircase.

Every evening the Oosterdam presented a stage show, at 7 and 9. The first and second night we were treated to The Singers and Dancers of the Oosterdam. They were all fabulous!! We also had the option, every evening, of visiting and enjoying entertainment of various types in 6 or so of the ships Lounges. Some evenings we went to see a movie, and some evenings we did laps around Deck 3. Three laps equalled one mile. Some evenings we hung out around the pool or lounged on the loungers on Deck 3.
