Rapid City, SD and Sturgis of course

Friday morning a few friends and I went on a nice ride through the Black Hills of South Dakota. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally doesn't officially start for a few days, so the roads weren't TOO crowded, YET!!

But first we were held up for a herd of cattle crossing Spring Creek Road. The cowboy thanked us for stoppping. We didn't really see that we had a choice. Those bovines were alot bigger than us!!

We rode the Custer State Park scenic Wildlife Loop. We saw lots of Buffalo and a few of the usual, adorable resident donkeys.

This guy was in love with the Harley!!

These rude tourists would NOT open their window for the donkey.

Then we took the long way to the town of Custer where we had lunch at the Gold Pan Saloon.

Then we headed to everyone's favorite - The Needles Highway.

Here I am trying to steal Art's show stopper Road Glide.

After a stop at Sylvan Lake for a cool drink, and Hill City for gas, we headed back to the stable, so to speak.

You got to see buffalo!! How cool! I wonder where they were hiding the day I was there. I'm envious.
