Grand Tetons National Park

I spent three nights at the Gros Ventre (pronounced Grow Vont) Campground in the Grand Tetons National Park, just 10 miles from the adorable, tourist town of Jackson, Wyoming. Plus, I had phone and Internet service there. I was treated to the sounds of the rushing Gros Ventre River every evening from my camp site. A few miles away I observed a herd of about 50 Bison. Also, one day I was treated to 3 Moose grazing on the banks of the Gros Ventre River.

One day I drove the 50 mile scenic route. I had lunch at the Jenny Lake Lodge, then later that evening had a scrumptious dinner at the local live theatre before enjoying the wild, rambunctious musical rendition of "The Legend of Cat Ballou." It was very entertaining, and hilarious!! I had vague memories of the movie Cat Ballou starring Lee Marvin. The play was similar, but not quite the same.

The next day I browsed through the National Wildlife Museum, then did the very strenuous 3 mile hike to Hidden Falls from the Jenny Lake Visitors Center. I took the easy way back though, a 10 minute boat ride back to the Visitors Center.

THE FOLLOWING FOUR PICTURES WERE TAKEN AT THE BEAUTIFUL MOULTON RANCH CABINS ON MORMON ROW INSIDE TETON NATIONAL PARK. www.moultonranchcabins.com THE RANCH HAS BEEN IN THE MOULTON FAMILY FOR 3 GENERATIONS. Ooooo, Grand Teton NP - now you're making me jealous. And the play sounds right up my alley. Such fun. I can't wait for pictures.

Wow, gorgeous shots! Looks like you had great weather. Glad you did that hike--I've done it a couple times. Ran into two moose right on the trail once.

Great pictures! I'm glad you were able to post them. Looks like you had the perfect amount of snow - on the mountains, not the trail.
